Welcome to Until, a platform that allows users of open-source libraries to create bounties on open issues by contributing towards them. By accessing or using Until, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our platform.
Until is a crowd-funding platform that enables users to support the development of open-source projects by creating and contributing to bounties for open issues. The platform is designed to facilitate collaboration between users, repo owners, and the Until team to promote the growth and sustainability of open-source software.
Until is a platform operated by Weekend System Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By using Until, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using Until on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You agree to use Until only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not use the platform to:

You agree to communicate and interact with other users, repo owners, and the Until team in a respectful and professional manner. You shall not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior, including but not limited to:
Until reserves the right to remove any content or terminate user access in case of violation of these Terms.
At present, Until does not require users to create individual accounts to use the platform. Users can participate in bounties and make contributions through a Stripe checkout link provided on the Until bounty page for each issue.
Until reserves the right to modify the account creation process in the future. We may introduce user accounts to enhance the user experience, improve security, or add new features. If such changes are implemented, users will be notified and may be required to create an account to continue using the platform.
Until reserves the right to terminate or suspend a user's access to the platform, with or without prior notice, in case of violation of these Terms. Reasons for termination or suspension may include, but are not limited to:
In the event of termination or suspension, the user may be prohibited from accessing Until and participating in any ongoing or future bounties.
Users can create bounties on open issues of open-source libraries by contributing funds towards them. Bounties are created through the Until platform, and contributions are made using Stripe checkout links provided on the bounty page for each issue.
When contributing to a bounty, users can set an expiry time for their contribution. If the issue is not closed by the repo owner within the specified expiry time (plus a 4-hour grace period), the contribution will be automatically refunded to the user, minus any applicable fees set by Stripe.
Once a repo owner closes an issue associated with a bounty, the Until team will review the completion of the issue. If the Until team approves the closure as satisfactory, the bounty will be disbursed to the repo owner. Until reserves the right to reject the closure if the issue is not adequately resolved or if there are any discrepancies.
If a bounty is not successfully completed and approved, users who contributed to the bounty will be refunded their contributions, minus any applicable fees set by Stripe. Refunds will be processed automatically after the expiry time and grace period have elapsed.
Until reserves the right to approve or reject the completion of an issue associated with a bounty. The Until team will review the closure of the issue to ensure that it meets the requirements and expectations set forth in the bounty description. If the closure is rejected, the bounty will not be disbursed, and contributors will be refunded as per the refund policy.
Until charges a 5% fee on all successfully completed and disbursed bounties. This fee is deducted from the total bounty amount before disbursement to the repo owner. The fee is used to cover the operational costs of the platform and to support its ongoing development and maintenance.
Until reserves the right to change its fee structure at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes to the fees will be communicated to users through the platform or by email. Your continued use of Until after the fee changes have been implemented constitutes your acceptance of the new fees.
All payments on Until, including bounty contributions and disbursements, are processed through Stripe. By using Until, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Until does not store or have access to any user payment information, as all transactions are securely handled by Stripe.
Users are solely responsible for any applicable taxes related to their use of Until, including but not limited to contributions to bounties and receipt of bounty disbursements. Until does not withhold or pay any taxes on behalf of users. Users should consult with their tax advisors to determine their tax obligations.
Until does not claim ownership of any content, including but not limited to text, images, or code, that is posted on the platform by users, repo owners, or other third parties. The ownership of such content remains with the original creator or rightful owner.
The open-source libraries and projects featured on Until are subject to their respective licenses. By contributing to a bounty or participating in the development of an open-source project through Until, you agree to comply with the applicable licenses and terms set forth by the project owners.
By posting or submitting any content on Until, you grant Until a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.
Until may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources. These links are provided for your convenience and do not signify endorsement by Until. We have no control over the content, availability, or privacy practices of these third-party resources. Your use of any third-party websites, services, or resources is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and conditions.
Until disclaims any responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, or legality of any content posted by users, repo owners, or other third parties on the platform. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any open-source projects, bounties, or contributions made through Until.
Until provides its platform and services on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your use of Until is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Until, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Until or any content or services provided through the platform.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Until, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of Until, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another user or third party.
Until collects and uses user data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using Until, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Until complies with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users in California.
Users have certain rights regarding their personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete their data. For more information on how to exercise these rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Until implements reasonable security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and Until cannot guarantee absolute security.
Until may share user data with third-party service providers, such as Stripe for payment processing, in order to facilitate the operation of the platform. These third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are responsible for the protection of user data in their possession.
Until reserves the right to update, change, or modify these Terms at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes to the Terms will be effective immediately upon posting on the Until website or platform.
Until will make reasonable efforts to notify users of any significant changes to the Terms, such as by posting a notice on the platform or sending an email to registered users. However, it is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
Your continued use of Until after any modifications to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue your use of the platform.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of Until shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Until, you agree to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by contacting Until at jack@weekend.systems. Until will make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute amicably.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within a reasonable time, either party may initiate formal proceedings. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of England and Wales, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
Any cause of action or claim you may have arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Until must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action or claim is permanently barred.
